Lance spent 34 years in Public Education in Cottage Grove and St. Paul, Minnesota, which included building level administration and 8 years in a Central Office position. He has a B.S. Degree in Elementary Education, a Master´s Degree in Education, from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, and an Educational Administration Specialists degree from the University of Minnesota-Mankato.
He has lived in Hastings since 1977, and has been very involved with the community. He is a past Chairman of the Hastings Planning Commission, and has also served on the Natural Resources and Recreation Commission. These service committees give him invaluable insight, particularly with people who are moving from one city to another. Relaxed in his approach, but serious about his responsibilities, Lance instills confidence with his knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm.
